A qualified Certified Public Accountant (CPA) holding a bachelor of Commerce degree and a member of ICPAK & ICPAU.

Working experience of over 22 years in the field of Audit, Taxation, Financial Management and consultancy. Having started his training with Ernst & Young in 1983 as a trainee raising to Audit Senior in six years to 1989 and thereafter in the Finance department of a number of organizations mostly as the head of the department. These organizations include NAS Airport Services, Car and General and Comtec Group among others.

A member of the of the Certified Public Accountants of Kenya and the Institute of Certified Public secretaries of Kenya holds a bachelor of commerce degree (accounting option).
He has extensive experience in the provision of Company Secretarial services, Audit, taxation and consultancy services. This experience is backed up by high quality training in the respective fields. • Development finance institution
Participated as associate consultant in restructure of Industrial Development Bank (IDB) and Industrial&Commercial Development Corporation (ICDC).
This project funded by the World Bank, involved the restructure of two major Kenyan finance institutions and approximately 25 of their portfolio investments.
• C P K Guest House - Mombasa.
Provided consultancy services to the C.P.K Guest House Mombasa which was bought in 1977 to provide a reasonably priced place for Bishops, Pastors and Missionaries to have a rest during holidays and conferences.
This consultancy was to improve revenue generation, develop sound accounting, personnel and administrative systems for a non-profitable institution.

While in Panel Bellhouse Mwangi participated in the World Bank project for reconstruction of the water billing and accounting systems for the Nairobi City Council.
